Ditch the phones, pull out your favorite vases and fill them with FUN. Fresh Flowers for your eyes this week while eating one meal a day instead of being front of a screen.
Where we put our attention is precious, sacred even. When we eat, it is our attention that helps us fully digest what is on our plate. But most days our attention is being pulled between loops on social media to replying to emails to shopping to checking our schedule.
One meal a day looking at flowers will bring JOY front and center! It is our attention call back the first Monday- Friday of the month. Clarity (and boundaries) with what we want in front of us and around us.
During this quick habit twist, you may notice how easy it has been to grab your phone while eating and how easy it is to adjust your attention to something much more gorgeous. Swap standing while eating with a cozy chair at the table eating something delicious with a vase of fresh flowers. If you don’t have fresh flowers, bring your favorite house plant closer, or frame prints of your favorite flower in your kitchen nook. And make it easy while grabbing food on the go, most restaurants have some sort of arrangement on the table, opt in for a gaze and leave your phone in your purse.

Tips for the week:
*Start thinking about what flowers you want on the table the Thursday before we meet on Monday. Gather your recipes or meals you want to make or grab. Anything else you want to enjoy while eating (podcasts, playlists, books, etc). Lean away from anything that makes you think you have to “do something” or that requires your feedback in that moment. This is a practice in receiving.
*Be sweet to yourself when you realize how hard this is. Laugh off the constant need to grab your phone and take yourself to your flowers.
Our community check in during the week
When we are not eating, we share resources in our WhatsApp group that are giving us life, rays of sunshine for our nervous system. Books (audio counts!), recipes, colors of fresh flowers on the table, podcasts, playlists, new to you teas or coffee you are trying. Space to share in community and cheer each other on.
